Tryout Fic #11: Ry Senkari - Sonic vs. Ken PreshowSonic leapt around the training room, sometimes rolling all the way back and forth across the room several times on each landing. Truly, his most valuable aspect was his speed. Sonic had been, well, playing, far more than he actually "trained". His latest series of cross-room rolls was interrupted by a sarcastic voice from the entrance of the room. "Hey, Sonic... your match is next. Quit practicing for the Olympics and get your butt out there," Knuckles said, standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. Sonic rolled over and came to a stop just a few feet away from the echidna, leaping to his feet and sending a confident smirk Knuckles' way. "Hey... who IS my opponent, anyway?" Sonic asked. "I think it's some guy named Ben. Like that guy on the rice box or something." "He's KEN, and he's supposedly a real life street fighter," Knuckles said matter-of-factly. "Which means that he's actually fought. In an actual fight." "What do you call all those times I kicked Robotnik's butt?" Sonic asked confidently. "Lucky," Knuckles said, turning around to leave the room. "But hey, what do I know? It could be your lucky day." Knuckles left, walking toward Gate B, which led to one of the lower sections of the stands. Walking in the other direction was Tails, who brushed past Knuckles as he walked past. "Hey, watch it!" Tails shouted at Knuckles' shoulder bumped into his arm. "Sonic might lose," Knuckles said, with a smirk on his face. "So have a camera ready. Could be worth $10,000 if you send it to that funny video show." Knuckles disappeared through Gate B. Tails walked into the training room and ran over to his pal, Sonic. "Hey, whatever Knuckles said to you, you didn't listen to him, right?" Tails asked. "You know he's just trying to psyche you out." "Have I ever listened to a WORD that guy said?" Sonic asked in a smart-alecky tone. "No way! C'mon, Tails. I'll make sure you get the best seat in the house, okay?" "Alright, Sonic!" Tails said happily. The two friends left the training room and headed out toward the arena. On the way, the duo witnessed what appeared to be the start of what could be a very unpleasant day for Tommy Vercetti. "Sweetcheeks," Tommy said casually, blushing and chuckling in front of what looked like a VERY angry Lara Croft. "I swear to God, I didn't mean to put my hand there!" "You grabbed my arse, plain as day," Lara said, half-snarling. She took out her Uzi, and before Tommy could blink, pointed it right at the Vercetti family jewels. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't blow your manhood off right here, and it better be a damn good one." "Hey, hey, guys!" Tails said, walking up to the two combatants. "Couldn't you work this out with words, not violence?" "Hey, the broad's the one who wanted to get violent, not me," Tommy said. "I told her it was an accident, but... and come on now, Miss... uh..." "Croft," Lara said. "You know who I am." "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Tommy said. "Did I ever tell you you had the prettiest ass I've ever seen?" Lara growled. "I meant eyes! Eyes! I swear!" Tommy shouted. But Lara had had enough. But before she could pull the trigger... "Where'd my guns go?" Lara said in a puzzled tone. The Uzi had been snatched right out of her hand, and her other guns were gone as well. "What's this thing?" Sonic asked, holding up Lara's uzi while Lara's gun-sling hung over his shoulder. He looked at the gun with fascination, pointing it at Tommy's head and making a "bang-bang" noise. "Hey, this is neat!" "Give it back!" Lara yelled, angrily. "How did you-" By now, Tommy had taken his leave, walking quickly down the hall and ducking into the men's restroom. Sonic looked at the gun a few more seconds, then tossed it back to Lara and set her other guns down at the tomb raider's feet. "Well, I hope you two work out your difficulties... heh... come on, Tails! I've got a fight to win!" "Right-o, Sonic!" Tails said, winking at Lara and running down the hall toward the arena with Sonic. Lara stared at them, her mouth agape. "He's the weirdest thing I've ever seen... and I've seen a lot of weird things," Lara said. "And he's probably the fastest." Next Entry Back |
