Vs. Mode - Yoshi vs. Conker"We're back after witnessing a merciless beating of a young boy at the hands of Bowser. Ness is currently in serious condition at the Gold Saucer's Medical Center. We probably won't get another update tonight, but we'll let you know how he is first thing on our next broadcast." Lucca sighs. "For now, the tournament continues with our final battle of the night." The upbeat music of Yoshi's Island is heard over the loudspeakers as the cute green dinosaur speeds into the arena. "Yoshi was first discovered in his usual green coloring on the aptly named Yoshi's Island. Since then, the dinosaurs have been seen in a rainbow of various colors. Their species is unique in that all Yoshis are capable of laying eggs, and they can use those eggs to great effect as thrown projectiles!" Yoshi hops into the ring just before the theme to Bad Fur Day plays. "Conker is also a competitor that could be called cute, but he shed that cute image in favor of a more hardcore look. The squirrel will use every foul-mouthed trick in the book to win this match." "Players, to your positions. Player 1, ready?" "Yoshi!" the dino squeals. "Player 2, ready?" "I'm ready!" Conker says as he pulls out his frying pan. "Combatants ready. Raise force barriers. Match 12, Yoshi vs. Conker. 3, 2, 1... fight!" "Power's on; game's started! Conker rushes for a pan smack, but Yoshi leaps away with a high flutter jump, turning it into a powerful Yoshi Bomb! The squirrel is back on his feet, and he takes out a pair of machine pistols! Yoshi manages to run from the bullets, but still takes a few hits." "Now Yoshi turns his run into an Egg Roll, slamming Conker's guns out of his hands! Conker tries to reach for them, but he gets wrapped up by Yoshi's sticky tongue! In an amazing feat of digestion, Yoshi swallows Conker whole, seals him an egg, and sends him out the other side." "Yoshi picks up the shaking egg and tosses it with high speed straight into the force barriers! The egg shatters with Conker still inside it, and he falls hard outside the ring. Will he be able to get back in? The squirrel is getting up, but Yoshi is still tossing eggs at the downed fighter. Conker is not able to withstand the exploding eggs, and he will be disqualified as a result of not returning to the ring." "Winner: Yoshi." The fans cheer for the happily dancing dinosaur, but a disgruntled Conker takes out his shotgun. Lucca shouts, "No! Yoshi, look out!" The squirrel has his finger on the trigger, but before he could fire, Conker gets slapped repeatedly in the face. The shotgun falls harmlessly to the ground as a blue Yoshi lands on Conker. Other Yoshis jump from the stands to either pile on the squirrel or to celebrate with Yoshi. "Whew, that was a close call." "It certainly was, but Yoshi's cheering section came to the rescue. Conker will be spending some time in prison for his stunt here, as arena security escorts him away." The herd of Yoshis backs away as Tifa and Barret handcuff the naughty squirrel. "There was a lot more crazy action tonight, but you've come to expect that, haven't you? Our next show will be live from Station Square, where eight more fighters will duke it out for the right to advance in the GCB. For Lucca and Max, I'm Brock, and we'll hope you'll join again on Vs.
